A Very Big Day!

4-23-11
First I need to give a bit of back story...actually 2 back stories...  #1.  Mommy's Uncle Malcolm passed away and his funeral was this morning.  Instead of expecting Dani to sit still we sent her with Grandma Zonnie and Parker to a local church event.  #2.  Remember in the post "A Taste of North Lake County" how I said we were invited to an event?  Well, this is that event.  It's the Easter Eggstravaganza at Engaging Life Church, where we ended up staying, and making our church home.  After Uncle Malcolm's service we joined Grandma and the kids.

First we started with a little extra love for Daddy.  I know he's gonna hate these pictures but too bad, they make my heart feel happy :)

Then it was off to the bounce houses and slides

These look grainy because they were taken through the mesh made to keep the kiddos from bouncing out

These two ladies have done so much to make us feel at home!  Jamy and Maranda we can't thank you enough!

Balloon animals!

Egg hunt time!

Some of the eggs had funny money which they used to buy toys.

Then we went to Aunt Carol's house to visit with the family while they were in town.  It was good to play and smile and spend time together.  And in case you couldn't tell...everybody loves Dani!

Rodeo girl!!

4-16-2011

Dani got to rodeo with her friend Lizzy!  Before her first ride she had to model a bit :)  She was in the "lead line" division, meaning she rode someone else's horse and had someone walking it on a lead, same for Lizzy.  There were tons of great pictures!  Here are some of them...

All participants are gauranteed a prize.  Dani won 2 ribbons and Lizzy won a trophy!

We're going to the fair!

4-10-11
It's time for the county fair!  Danica got to ride on her first rollercoaster, she was so brave! She kept her hands in the air the whole time!

Next she got to "drive" the fire truck.

Then it was time to ride the carousel.

And how's that for the happiest carousel girl...EVER!  :)

As we were getting ready to leave we bumped into Kiersten and Logan and they all got to pretend to drive the lawn mowers and such.

Some cute kiddos if I do say so myself!

Favorite author and favorite girl!

 4-8-12
I got to meet (again) one of my favorite authors...Tim Dorsey!!  I love his books (and so does John).  This isn't the first time I met Tim (yes, I think we're on a first name basis by now) and I certainly hope it won't be the last!

Later that day while at Grandpa's house we were chasing an eagle around the lake edge when I got this picture of Dani that I just love.  I don't think I realized how great the light was at the time.

Black Bear Festival 2011

3-26-2011

It's time for the Black Bear Festival again!!!  Grandma Zonnie brought Parker over for it and the first thing we all did was go to the Fire Station for Identa-kid registration.  Both kids thought it was really cool when they took their digital finger prints.  Dani wouldn't smile for face picture, but when it was Parker's turn he kept giving this funky smile.

Next they made these wood chip necklaces where they got to put an animal's foot print on it.  Dani chose a raccoon print, Parker chose a bear print.

Then we stopped by to see Dave and Uschi and the kids got to see an observation bee hive which they thought was really cool.

Then it was time to play on the super static making slide!  Love the crazy hair!

Dani found her friend Lizzy!

Silly faces in the plastic bubble!

Then she found another friend...Kiersten...and they all danced around on stage.
