Lake Idamere Fun

On August 16th we took Dani to Lake Idamere Park. I love this park! I just wish it was closer to our home.

The first stop was "sway fun" like being on a rocking boat.

Then it was the oversized swing (Dani just called this "red")

Down the slide

around the jungle gym

onto the little spinner thing.

Honestly, I wasn't spinning her fast but I guess it was enough for her to get really dizzy because she fell off then couldn't stand up. I tried not to laugh, but it was really hard.

Next she wanted to climb up the tube slide

Then play in the dirt with the digger

Back up the slide and onto the airplane

Stop and smell the flowers

Give Mommy cuddles on the dock/pier.

Show off your bellybutton!

Grab a sip of water

Sit on the bench swing (copy Mommy)

What a fun day!

Another day to play with Ellie

On July 26th Dani, Grandpa and Mommy went to visit Uncle Joel, Aunt MaryAnn and Baby Ellie. But first Mommy had to stop and pick up her new Nikon camera :) Which means there were even more pictures taken than usual!

First Dani had to pose in her little sun dress.


Then there was time to get aquainted with the newest princess. She tried to get Ellie to "give five".


She posed at the front door,


Played on the stairs,


and gave Ellie her fist anatomy lesson...
This lesson is how to locate your belly button.
Step 1. Make good eye contact with your student.
Step 2. Show your belly button to the student.
Step 3. Show belly button to class.
Step 4. Show belly button to student again.
Step 5. Point to your belly button (sticking your finger in it works too).
Step 6. Show satisfied smile because you're such a good teacher.

You would almost think these girls are related by blood. Especially when you look at those bright blue eyes


and chunky chubby thighs!




But there's no blood to tie this part of the family together, only luck that we were put together and love.

Playing with Ellie

On July 23 Dani got to play with her little cousin Ellie and also visit with Grandpa, Jim, Uncle Joel and Aunt MaryAnn.

At first Dani didn't know what to think of another little princess in "her" space


But she finally decided that since Ellie liked her so much and that made every body else happy she should be happy too



Then she found a magnifying glass and thought that was really fun!

First day of "school"

On 7-13-09 Danica had her first day at daycare (which we refer to as school). But she didn't want to pose for pictures, so I gave her the camera case and snapped what I could.

On the way home she managed to grab one of her shirts from the seat beside her. But she couldn't quite get it on because she was trying to put her head through an arm hole. Once she realized it wasn't going to work she tried to pull it off but had already gotten far enough that it was stuck. Needless to say she was NOT happy with the situation, unfortunately for her, Mommy was still feeling camera happy.

So I pulled off the road and got it off her head. Then I gave her my water bottle to cheer her up.

Sorting through stuff

On July 12 Aunt Kathie came over to help Grammie sort through some of Aunt Sue's stuff. Dani got to help!


And she got to love on Aunt Kathie!

Thanks to Dani, what could have been a super sad day had a few extra smiles.

2 play dates in one day

In June Dani and I went to play at Abby's house then we went to another friend's house to watch the UFC fights. There Dani got to play with Tristin but Mommy didn't take many pictures.

When Dani was a newborn she made a face all the time that reminded me of the podlings in The Dark Crystal. She made the face again and I got a pic!

And it would appear I have a little model. She loves to pose for pictures!

Independence Day Weekend

Friday July 3rd Mommy had the day off, after Daddy got home from work Dani got dressed up and we went to Eustis for the street party and fireworks. Dani wore her adorable patriotic outfit that Grandma Rosie got for her.

Last year she was too small to really see the fireworks...not this year!!! I love that she kept pointing like "hey Mom, the good stuff is happening up there"

Saturday July 4th Mommy had to work but after work Dani got dressed up again (yes in the same outfit) and we went to the Twisty Treat and met with Josh and Brian and their families to watch the Tavares fireworks.

On the 5th we went to Grandma Zonnie's to swim and cook out.

Then it was swim time! Dani didn't care so much for her floaty suit but she did better on her back than usual.

Once she was in a regular swim suit she was a lot happier. And both little ones love their yellow float ring

And she loves to put her face in the water

On the way home from Grandma Zonnie's we stopped for icecream. This was the first time Dani got her own cone, before she's always shared one of ours.
