A long weekend in Virginia

7-3-11 & 7-4-11

We went to Virginia to visit family and stayed in this beautiful little town.  I just loved the buildings and the stores! This long after the trip I don't remember what day of the week we went up there, or why I only took pictures on 2 days.  But I do remember that Brandy, Dani and I went for a walk one morning and I took a lot of pictures even though it was already hot.

There were cool cars and beautiful flowers everywhere!

There was this one cool, old, governmental looking building that Dani decided to "pose" in front of.

There was a really pretty bridge that we stopped at (photos by Brandy) but the pictures don't do it justice.

Then we went to Anjie's mom's house where all the kids got to play.  They had a zip line set up but Dani preferred the hammock.

Growing up we called him Chris...but now he goes by Ross...it confuses me sometimes!  But here he is with his youngest boy, I just love these images!

And it's really all about family, that's why I love these next images.

Elsewhere in the little town are these giant metal...sculptures?  I'm not sure what to call them...but they were fun for pictures!  The first was the watering can.

Next was a giant shoe, a giant pot, and another globe-like sculpture.  The big pot had little strawberries growing in it :)

Random crazy family shots!

Then we went to a park...

The sky and moon were so beautiful!

Then there was more general family craziness, which for this family is pretty normal.
And if you know us, you know that we are not afraid to show we care.  Hugs aren't just appreciated, they are expected!

The next day I was able to snap a few shots of the cool old cars that were parked at our hotel.

I love these shots of Dani looking out our hotel window <3 br="">

On the long drive home Dani noticed the sky was full of hot air balloons!

And even though I don't like bridges, especially when they're under construction...this one was OK because I got some half decent pics of it...
